I have been buried, and this is going to be short. I have been hard at it with the ancestor part of the book. This is the hardest part... but seemingly the most rewarding. I have all kinds of printed materials and have been adding those things to the layouts. But my brain hurts so I am going to leave it at that.
The first layout was done using a collab kit from Vicki and Stacy called A touch of Romance. You can get Vicki's part here, and Stacey's here.

The rest were done with Creative Memories Story Book Creator elements and papers - then tweaked in Photoshop. I used the typewriter font in Photoshop. Man I have bounced around in between various programs, and am feeling like a ping pong ball. LOL. I did side by side images to show what the pages will look like in the book. I will be happy when I can do the simple stuff... Yeah, like that is going to happen. Time is running out, so I better get back at it.
(By some miracle, you can click on the images, and view them larger - I never can get that to work... buttoday since I didn't think I could... it is working! Go figure!!!)
And on that note, I will say "see ya!"
Ciao,
Eila

Talking about being a busy beaver. You'd been busy alright. I love all the Layouts and I wish I had some of the documentary on my great grandparents. I even love the typewriter style fonts that you put on the pages for their name. You did good. Have a great week. Just in case have a good Easter. >>HUGS<< Nancy

Eila,
These pages are awesome. I clicked on each one and saw the detail. Remarkable job! All the hard work has paid off!

These are so pretty. I love the see-through names on the pages. That effect works great! I'm gonna have to steal that idea for my own heritage layouts. And all the journaling is wonderful! He's gonna love this when it's done. And he'll appreciate it more when he's old and has this to show his grandchildren. Great job!
Now let's all go to Crops' for a party!
Such a great project ... it is coming together very nicely!! What a keepsake.
This book is really going to be something special. The layouts and journaling must take a long time each one...but you are doing brilliantly!! Be proud!!

Elia -
Your layouts are INCREDIBLE. Absolutely gorgeous! What a rich heritage you have and how attractively you have put these together.
I know what you mean about bouncing around between programs LOL - I do that a LOT.
I'm currently 80 someodd pages into the scrapbook for Miles principal and its making my head swim. Trying to finish it up in the next weeks.
Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
